Frequently asked questions

What is a PDF booklet?
A PDF booklet arranges your document pages so that when printed double-sided and folded in half, they read like a book or magazine. This process is called "imposition."
Does my PDF need to have a specific number of pages?
Ideally, yes. A booklet requires the total page count to be a multiple of 4. However, CedarPDF will automatically add blank pages to the end of your document to ensure it folds perfectly, so you don't need to worry about it.
Is my document safe? Do you store my files?
Your data is 100% safe. CedarPDF runs entirely in your web browser. Your PDF files never leave your device and are never uploaded to our servers. Your files never become training data for AI systems.
What paper size should I use?
For North America, Letter (8.5" × 11") is the standard. For most other countries, A4 (210 × 297 mm) is used. CedarPDF defaults to Letter, but you can switch to A4 in the settings.
