Since processing happens in your browser, file size limits depend on your device's available memory:

Partially. Once the site loads, most tools can work without an internet connection since processing is local. However, you need to be online to initially load the page.

Yes. CedarPDF is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets (iOS and Android). However, processing very large files on mobile devices may be slower due to hardware limitations.
🛡️ Privacy & Security
You can verify this yourself:
- Open your browser's Developer Tools (F12 or right-click → Inspect)
- Go to the Network tab
- Upload and process a PDF file
- Observe: No file upload requests will appear
Our code is also open-source and auditable if you're technical.
No tracking cookies. We don't use cookies for advertising, analytics, or user tracking. If we ever add strictly necessary cookies (e.g., language preference), we'll disclose it clearly.
Your files exist only in your browser's temporary memory (RAM) during processing. After you download the result:
- The file is automatically cleared from browser memory
- Nothing is stored on our servers (we don't have any for file storage)
- Closing the tab or refreshing the page clears all data

Yes! But not now! If CedarPDF has been helpful to you, voluntary donations are welcome. However, we don't need any donation now and in near future, so did not have a donation system set up.
🔧 Troubleshooting
Common reasons for processing failures:
- File too large: Try splitting the PDF or using a device with more RAM
- Browser outdated: Update to the latest version
- Corrupted file: The PDF may be damaged or password-protected
- Memory limits: Close other tabs and applications
If the problem persists, try a different browser or device, or contact us/feedback via email.
Limited support. Some tools may work with password-protected PDFs if you enter the password in your browser. However, for security reasons, we recommend removing passwords before processing when possible.
