1. Service Nature & Core Principles
1.1 Free & No Registration Required
The Service is provided free of charge, with no usage limits and no account registration required. We believe privacy and accessibility are fundamental rights. You can use all features instantly, without providing personal information.
1.2 Client-Side Processing (Files Stay on Your Device)
All PDF processing occurs locally in your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party cloud.
Your files: 📁 → 🖥️ (your device) → 📥 (download)
No uploading. No tracking. No exceptions.
Once processing is complete and you download the result (from your browser), the file is automatically cleared from your browser memory. We have no access to, and do not store, your content.
1.3 Non-Commercial, Non-Profit Project
This Service is operated as a non-commercial, non-profit project. Our goal is to provide a trustworthy, privacy-first tool for everyone.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not:
- Use the Service to process content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the Service's code or infrastructure;
- Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service in a way that disrupts its operation;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with us.
3. No Warranty & Limitation of Liability
3.1 "As Is" Basis
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
3.2 Technical Limitations
As a client-side web application, the Service is subject to browser and device limitations:
- Large files (e.g., >200–500 MB) may cause performance issues or browser crashes;
- Complex operations (e.g., OCR, advanced compression) may have reduced accuracy compared to server-side tools;
- Results depend on your device's hardware, browser version, and network stability.
3.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
4. Intellectual Property
- The Service's frontend code, UI design, and original content are copyrighted by the project contributors and licensed under the MIT License, unless otherwise specified.
- Third-party libraries used in the Service remain under their respective open-source licenses. We comply with all attribution and license requirements.
- You retain all rights to your original files and processed outputs. We claim no ownership over your content.
5. Privacy Commitment
Zero Data Collection by Design
We do not collect, store, transmit, or analyze any content you process.
No tracking cookies. No analytics that identify you. No server logs of your files.
Technical note: Processing uses standard browser APIs (FileReader, Blob, WebAssembly). No external network requests are made during file operations. You can verify this in your browser's Developer Tools → Network tab.
6. Optional Donations (Future Feature)
- If we introduce a donation feature, it will be entirely voluntary, with no impact on Service access or functionality.
- Donations support infrastructure costs (domain, SSL), open-source contributions, and ongoing development.
- Fund usage will be transparently disclosed (e.g., via a public summary page).
- Donations are non-refundable and do not constitute a purchase, subscription, or investment.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically to reflect Service improvements or legal requirements. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
For material changes, we will provide prominent notice (e.g., banner on the homepage) at least 7 days in advance.
